Module 3 commenced in January 2011 and the first 16 graduates have now been awarded the full PGCE, with a high level of distinctions and merits achieved. Congratulations to:
||Medical Education Fellow (MEF)
|Tim De Klerk
The first phase of programme evaluation, focusing on module 1, has been completed and demonstrated a very positive impact on participants’ practice as a clinical supervisor. 84% responded positively to ‘Has studying the module lead to change in your own practice as an educator/supervisor?’ Many respondents gave specific examples of these positive changes, which can be categorised under 4 broad themes:
- work-place based assessments and giving feedback
- organised, planned and systematic supervision
- actual teaching, teaching skills, and specific teaching methods
- enhanced understanding of learning styles
