In 2010, we received 477 applications for 255 GP ST programmes; that's 1.9 applications for every post.

In 2011, we received 459 applications for 258 GP ST Programmes; that's a 2:1 application ratio.

Stage 2 Assessments

Stage 2 Assessments will be held at Pearson Vue Centres for 1 week from 6th January 2014.  Places can be booked via the application system once confirmation of eligibility has been given.

Anticipated Duration of Programme

GP ST1 - 3 years comprising 18 months in hospital specialties and 18 months in general practice.  All GPST Programmes in the Deanery complete with 12 months ST3 in an accredited training practice.

Sample Rotation

In most cases, 3 x 6 month placements in a hospital specialty, 6 months in an Integrated GP Training Post or GP+ post and 12 months GP ST3. See programme details and map for more information
