We can confirm that the interviews for ST1 and ST3 Obstetrics & Gynaecology taking place between Tuesday 21st – Friday 24th April 2020 at the Etihad Stadium have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Further information about next steps will hopefully be available by end of week commencing 23rd March 2020. We will contact all affected applicants via Oriel message and by email.


Health Education England formally transferred the responsibility for national recruitment to Obstetrics & Gynaecology at ST1 level from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists to Health Education North West with effect from the August 2017 intake.


This means that all ST1 Obstetrics & Gynaecology posts in England, Scotland and Wales starting from August 2017 onwards will be recruited to by the processes outlined in the subsequent tabs.  Northern Ireland will operate its own recruitment process for ST1 O&G.

The application process consists of

  • Standardised longlisting process
  • Multi Specialty Recruitment Assessment (contributing 25% of the total interview score)
  • 3 station interview (contributing 75% of the total interview score)
