The work of the Allyship Network has led to NHS England North West developing guidance for trainees on how to raise a dignity concern; and guidance for First Listeners and Second Messengers on how to manage these concerns:
The terminology First Listener is used to describe the person you first raise a concern to, if you are unsure who to contact, we would suggest speaking with a Peer Ally to begin with.
Our Peer Allies have a diverse range of characteristics and experiences, to raise a dignity concern with a Peer Ally as a First Listener, please complete this short form. The information you provide will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purpose of allocating a Peer Ally.
Further information regarding the Allyship Network is available on the The Allyship Network - Leading on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the North West page of the website.
Should there be an EDI element to your concerns, you can contact the team at: england.edinetwork.nw@nhs.net; alternatively, you can contact one of the Associate Deans who lead on EDI directly:
