Why train in Clinical Immunology in Manchester?

Why Clinical Immunology?

The variety of clinical problems encountered Immunologists and the opportunity to solve
difficult diagnostic problems in patients with undefined immunodeficiencies or complex multi
system allergy, brings a huge intellectual buzz, not to mention the excitement of working in a
specialty, which is closely linked to cutting edge science. Most immunological disorders are
lifelong and give trainees an opportunity to develop their patient-centered medicine skills.

Why Manchester?

Manchester has two long established Immunology departments, one in Central Manchester and
one in Salford. Between them, these centers offer all the clinical experience you need to cover
the Immunology curriculum. Manchester University offers Immunology MSc courses which we encourage and support trainees to attend, to obtain the scientific knowledge required in the
early part of the curriculum.

Manchester also offers everything else you could possibly want, wild mountains, two world
class football team, great schools and housing and some of Britain's friendliest inhabitants.
