LEAD EMPLOYER TEAM FOR GP SPECIALTY TRAINING

NHS England working across the North West was the first in the UK to have a single lead employer for all its GP Specialty Doctors in Training (DiT). The organisation providing this service is St Helens & Knowsley Trust. They have a dedicated HR team that deals with all aspects of employment for GP Specialty DiTs.

Their responsibilities include completing all pre-employment checks such as checking your right to work, completing a CRB disclosure and Occupational Health checks amongst others. They are always on hand for advice on contractual matters such as pay, all types of leave such as annual, bank holiday, special, maternity and paternity leave, as well as dealing with disciplinary and grievances to name just a few. Should you ever require Occupational Health support, the relevant lead employer can arrange this for you too.
