This course will:
Draw on Human Factors and Performance Science; understanding human
capabilities and limitations
Develop your understanding of performance and error within complex systems
Improve your knowledge of Just Culture; how to identify learning without blame
Demonstrate a diverse range of tools to investigate serious incidents, as well as near
misses
Examine event mapping
Introduce structures for identifying causational factors
Establish how to gather and analyse evidence
Look at conducting interviews; including recognising signs of shock and posttraumatic
stress
Discuss how to develop appropriate corrective actions
Explore how to write an effective investigation report
