This resource pack is designed to support developmental conversations about leadership between trainees and supervisors in postgraduate training.  The pack is based on the nine dimensions of the Healthcare Leadership Model (HLM), and it can be used in its entirety or to complement existing leadership or management training programmes.

Meet the Team 

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group was established in September 2016 with the aim of supporting HEE's work to ensure that all trainee doctors and dentists are treated fairly and enabled to reach their full potential. Outlined below is the profiles of those involved in this group which gives an insight of who they are and why they joined.                

The experience of lesbian, gay and bisexual doctors in the NHS (Report)

One might think, in this day and age when gay marriage has been legalised in England, Scotland and Wales, that homophobia and discrimination against lesbians, gay men and bisexual people was a thing of the past. If only that were the case. The experiences related in this report show us that too many of our LGB colleagues are still experiencing the NHS as a less than supportive place to work and be themselves.

The Diversity and Inclusion – The Power of Research in Driving Change report has been commissioned by NHS Employers, Imperial College London, enei (Employer’s Network for Equality and Inclusion) and North West Coast Academic Health Science Network.
