Associate Director GP

I am a GP in Bury and have been involved in GP training since 1994. Over the years I have been a trainer, scheme organiser, programme director and was appointed as Associate Director in June 2011. I am still a GPST trainer and really enjoy the daily challenge that this brings.

My area of responsibility covers Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, North Manchester and Bury. My  deanery portfolio includes deanery assessment lead, quality managing out of hours education, organising the regional trainers conferences and tutoring on various educator courses.

I also work for the RCGP as an External Adviser which involves assessing the quality of the ARCP process and representing the College on ARCP appeal panels.

I strongly believe in providing a high quality educational experience and derive real professional satisfaction from observing doctors travel on their journey through GP training and then becoming local GP’s.

Outside of medicine I enjoy travelling, reading, photography  and sadly support Blackburn Rovers!
