Allison Rees

Bio: 

Allison Rees was born in South Wales and studied at the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester, graduating in 1990. She completed her GP training in Blackpool and went on to work as a GP in the area for 30 years, retiring from clinical practice in 2022.

Allison has been deeply involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education throughout her career and previously served as Training Programme Director for Blackpool. In her current role as Associate Dean, she supports International Medical Graduates and leads on Health Equity Focused Training initiatives across the North West.

Outside of medicine, Allison is a passionate supporter of both rugby and football—cheering for Wales and Liverpool—and enjoys choral singing.
