Bio: 

Colette qualified in Microbiology and then Dentistry in Leeds. She followed a career in oral surgery and is currently a Consultant/Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oral surgery at Liverpool University Dental Hospital. She has a major interest in teaching and training and has developed and delivered lectures and courses for Dental Undergraduates; Dental Care Professionals; GDPs and Dental Postgraduates including DCTs and StRs. She is one of the four original inventors of “LIFTUPP”.  Her recent national roles have included British Association of Oral surgeons Council; Advisory Board for Foundation Training in Dentistry; Advisory Board for Specialty Training; The Oral surgery pathways development group; The Oral surgery pathways implementation group and the commissioning guides production group. She is an examiner for the MFDS and M.Oral Surgery RCS examinations and the external examiner for the D.D.Sc Oral Surgery programme in Dublin. She sits on the SAB in Edinburgh; The Irish specialty advisory Board and is currently the Chair of the Oral surgery SAC.
