On this page you can access presentations and resources from the 2019 Spring Educators Training and Development Event, which took place at Lancaster House Hotel on 22^nd and 23^rd May 2019.

The HEE (NW) Associate Deans (ADs) are able to provide educational support in the following areas via a range of interventions i.e. workshops, presentations, lectures, etc. Some of these are available on a personal basis; others may be prepared by a Lead AD but delivered via other ADs.

You may find this template useful when collecting / recording educational activity and evidence (against the GMC domains) for accreditation, appraisal and revalidation.

This year's event was held on 16th & 17th May at Hallmark Hotel in Leyland. The audience was made up of Deputy and Associate Deans and other HEE (NW) staff, DMEs, HoS, TPDs and MEMs.   

On Thursday 8th September 2016 the North West Annual Postgraduate Medical and Dental Educator Conference took place at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.  The theme of the conference was Professionalism & Excellence in Medical Education.   Resources from the day include the brochure and presentations from the speakers and workshops.  

This year's event was held on 17th & 18th May at Lancaster House Hotel.  The audience was made up of Deputy and Associate Deans and other HEE (NW) staff, DMEs, HoS, TPDs and MEMs.

The GMC’s deadline for the recognition of trainers is fast approaching. Whilst some LEPs have the majority, or in some cases all trainers fully recognised, some organisations still have a great deal of work to do. 

Following a number of recent queries regarding the recoginition of trainers, HEE (NW) have produced these FAQs.

These standards produced by the General Medical Council (GMC) set out requirements for the management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

These standards come into effect on 1 January 2016 and will supersede the previous standards in Tomorrow’s Doctors and The Trainee Doctor.
