Transitioning to Consultancy

Since 2012 the North Western Deanery Careers team have offered "Transitioning to consultancy" training days for trainees approaching CCT and doctors having achieved CESR. These have been very popular and well received by attendees.

These days include sessions on:

Taking on the consultant's mantle
Developing career resilience
Making the most of a locum consultant post
Preparing for interview
Interview practical exercises.

New sessions will be advertised directly to trainees within 18months of CCT and to SAS doctors via local SAS Trust Leads.

Upcoming session: 20th February 2014 (Central Manchester)

2 more session are planned around November 2014 and April 2015.
