Richard Hughes is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. He previously served as the Training Programme Director for Emergency Medicine in Merseyside and Cheshire for five years, before being appointed Associate Dean in March 2023. In his current role as Associate Dean, he is linked to the School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Richard's designated hospitals are located in Greater Manchester, including Stepping Hill Hospital, Tameside General Hospital, and The Christie. His portfolio focuses on senior educator development. He formerly led the North West Rota Fellow project and continues to maintain a strong interest in this area.
